**SIX SHOTS SENTENCE A SERMON TO BE THE LAST**

The death of another PASTOR on the Colombian coast

The night of January 8, 2025, marked not only the end of a sermon delivered by a young 29-year-old Venezuelan pastor residing in the municipality of Ciénaga, Magdalena, but also the end of that pastor’s life.

The late pastor, also a father, carried out his ministry in the village of Carital, located in the ZONA BANANERA of Magdalena, on Colombia's Caribbean coast. The father of four children and husband of fellow pastor Karen Nibles, the grieving widow described him as a man deeply committed to his values as a believer. She also shared that he had been serving as a pastor for more than a year.

It is reported that the perpetrator pulled the trigger at least six times, with such ruthlessness that a woman from the congregation was also struck in the incident. The reason is unknown yet

Each day in Colombia, the freedom of religion or secularism so often proclaimed in the constitution becomes more questionable. These incidents are becoming increasingly evident, with this being the first case of a pastor’s murder this year and the second in less than a month.

However, it is in our hands to stop allowing these things to happen. If the perpetrators understand that God’s children do not fear extortion, that even massacres like these have not served as a deterrent but instead have inspired courage and bravery, then the battle is already won. For if God is for us, who can be against us?

Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Let this death, and those that preceded it, serve as examples of courage and faithfulness to our Creator and Heavenly Father.

**"Massacre in Aguachica: A Pastoral Family's Faithful Legacy Cut Short"**

A fireproof faith, the heartbreaking massacre of a pastoral family in Colombia

It was noon on Sunday, December 29, last year, when the pastoral family Lora Rincón, spiritual leaders of the ministry "Prince of Peace" in that municipality, were having lunch on a commercial terrace. Suddenly, a motorcycle interrupted the scene, and with repeated gunshots, took the lives of the family—except for the youngest son, who would pass away hours later due to the severity of his injuries (according to sources).

Unaware of the tragic event they would face, the daughter of this family had recited a sermon in her congregation hours earlier, encouraging the audience to "focus on the things above," meaning to prioritize the kingdom of God above all else.

In a world where tolerance, respect, and above all, love for one another are scarce, this family—like many other pastoral families, not only in Colombia but worldwide—was willing to spread the message of love and salvation, even at the cost of their lives. These kinds of acts must stop.

However, I invite you not to let this vile massacre discourage us from sharing the message of salvation. Instead, remember that we are blessed when we are persecuted for His sake, for great is our reward in heaven (Matthew 5:11). I am certain the Lora Rincón family is now receiving that reward. My condolences to this family.

And remember, if God is for us, who can be against us?
